Education Post Supports
Education Post is Brightbeam's flagship platform, a network of education workers demanding a better education for every child and a brighter future.
Education Post seeks to elevate the voices of the people who matter most in the movement to improve schools: parents, kids, and teachers.
We have created a national network of education advocates to celebrate success, call for challenges, and speak out against necessary reforms through blogs, videos, op-eds, and public appearances.
Our Bloggers Address the Three Most Common Questions Facing Our School
- How do we know if our schools are good enough?
- What do we do without these?
- How do we ensure that all children have access to a great school?
The Education Post supports these reforms, but you will find the various opinions expressed here.
We support school accountability. We believe that public schools should educate and prepare all children regardless of income, race, or ability.
We believe that the goal of every school should be to prepare every college for college and career and we believe that this has been possible because there are public schools that face tremendous adversity that still manage it every day.
But how to achieve this is a matter of debate. Some of our bloggers are in favor of the actual consequences of short school reading, but others have expressed concern that the problem is sometimes worse than the problem.
We support strong charter schools. Charter schools are public schools and open to all children equally. Children living in urban areas tend to do better in traditional schools than in traditional district-run schools.
But in places where charter schools are not set up in higher bars or are allowed to conduct questionable practices, we challenge them to put the needs of their children and families above all else.
Feel free to contact me with ideas, advice and any help.
Thanks
