Some other students may face the problem of forgetting the words after the teacher finds out the meaning of the word or looking in the dictionary and this also happens due to the luck of the technical vocabulary. The more words students learn, the easier it will be for them to memorize.

The teacher has an essential role to play in helping students improve their technical vocabulary. Unfortunately, technical vocabulary education was not sufficiently responsive to such problems. If we look beyond the present to the past, we discover it for a long time, English used teaching methods such as direct methods and audiolingualism which emphasized the importance of teaching grammatical structures. Since the pronunciation was on grammar, a few words were introduced in this type of course and in most cases, they were limited and related to the grammar structure taught.

This study examines the lexical coverage of 318 general science-specific technical word families and the repetition of events in a section of science fiction-fantasy text to determine the possibility of being a resource for acquiring the technical vocabulary associated with science fiction-fantasy literature. Word list coverage was found to be 0.50% in the science fiction-fantasy corpus, which is 46% more than a corpus (0.27%) coverage of the fiction text and 70% less than the same coverage in a corpus of academic science journals (1.68%).

These results suggest that, in coming to terms with technical vocabulary, science can serve as a bridge resource for second language students studying or previously specialized in science fiction. A frequency analysis revealed that the highest potential for lexical learning occurred at the 500,000-word reading level, where 21% of science words occurred 10+ times and 83% 1+ times. Potential lexical benefits, as well as both practical and theoretical implications, are discussed.

How to Write Answers to Descriptive Questions?

How do You Write a Descriptive Question?

Nowadays not only factual questions but also descriptive questions require a QA system. Descriptive questions are questions that require answers that contain definitive information about the search term or describe certain specific events. We proposed a new descriptive QA model and presented the results of a system we created to answer descriptive questions. We have defined 8 descriptive answer types (DAT) as the type of answer to the descriptive question. We discussed how our proposed model was applied to descriptive questions with some experimentation.

1. What is The Definition of A Questions?

In grammar, a question is a type of sentence that is expressed in a form that is needed — or at least seems necessary — an answer. Also known as a questionable sentence, a question is usually distinguished from a sentence that gives a statement, gives an order, or expresses a surprise. Linguists can usually identify three main types of questions: yes/ no questions (also known as polar questions), wh-questions and alternative questions. In terms of syntax, a question is usually the opposite of the subject and is characterized by the first verb of the verb phrase, beginning with a questionable pronoun or ending with a tag question.

2. What are The 3 Types of Questions in English?

It gives a brief idea of how the question is formed. But in this session we will discuss different types of questions in English grammar. Each type has its own rules that need to be followed.

Let's examine different types of questions that can be used in the English grammar.

a. Yes/No Type of Questions

These are currently considered the most basic types of questions. These can be used to get simple answers in the form of 'yes' or 'no'. The most important thing to remember is that they start with a verb that contains auxiliary verbs (auxiliary verbs). In a given sentence these auxiliary words come before the main verb. Noe let's explore some examples of these forms.
  • Will it rain today?
  • Is the bag on the table?
  • Are you in the classroom?
  • Is the train crashed?
  • Can she cook the food?

Sometimes helpful words are omitted so questions start with ‘Do’, ‘Does’, ‘Did’.
  • Did Narin go to College yesterday?
  • Does Smith play the violin in the class?
  • Do you know where Kings Cross Station is?

You need to be very careful about the tense of the sentence when creating questions. With enough practice, you can turn basic sentences into different questions.

ii. Special or Wh-Questions

A particular question, you can guess, uses a specific word at the beginning of a sentence to ask a specific question. Question words like who, what, when, where, how, why, how many, etc. are used to start a question:
  • Where is she from?
  • When did you come to school?
  • How did he meet her?
  • How many pens do we need for this test?
  • Whose boys are playing in the yard?

Notice that questions about a topic (who? What?) Have their own special structure; They do not require a supportive verb, we replace the subject with the word question.

For example:
  • We go to the cinema. - Who goes to the movies?
  • The plats is on the table. - What's on the table?
  • Most of the girls here wear skirts. - Who's here wearing a skirt?

You see that the third-person singular form of the verb who and what should be used after the question word.

We use specific questions to get specific information. This means that the answer will be more detailed.

You can find more information on this topic in the initial short talk question in our article.

More Examples of Wh-questions

iii. Disjunctive or Tag Questions

When using the question tag you need to understand that it is used at the end of the sentence. Make sure you understand this part correctly. Let's explore examples:
  • He sent him an invitation, didn’t he? – Yes, he did.
  • You're not married, are you? – No, I am not.
  • Jarry isn’t in Canada, is she? – No, she isn’t.
  • Our mom will come soon, won’t she? – Yes, she will.
  • I think the bus will leave at 8 am in the morning, doesn’t it?
  • The house was demolished by the government, isn't it?
  • Marry would bring the cake for the party, won’t she?

Here, in the examples above, you can see that the question has been asked to get confirmation. Tag questions are only used in conversational discourse to clarify information or to confirm or refute something in case of doubt.

3. What is an Example of A Descriptive Research Question?

Simply put, descriptive research questions are the easiest way to measure the particular variables (s) that you are interested in at large. Common descriptive research questions include "How much?", "How much regular?", "What percentage?", “How much?”, “How regularly?”, “What percentage?”, “What time?”, “What is?”

Second, 3 types of research questions? There are three types of research questions, such as descriptive, comparative and causal types. Therefore, when creating questions, it is essential to know which headings fall under which heading to enhance the research efficiency and accuracy.

4. What are Descriptive Questions?

Descriptive questions are questions that require answers that contain definitive information about the search term or describe certain specific events. We have proposed a new descriptive QA model and presented the results of a system we created to answer descriptive questions.

5. How do You Write Descriptive?

The primary purpose of descriptive writing is to describe a person, place, or thing in a way that creates an image in the reader's mind. Capturing an event through descriptive writing involves paying close attention to the details using your five senses.

6. What is Descriptive Questions Exam?

The descriptive test will consist of two (2) questions consisting of a letter and an essay. The descriptive test must be attempted with a maximum of 50 marks and 30 minutes.

7. Why are Descriptive Research Questions Important?

Descriptive research questions are a systematic approach that helps to understand what, where, when and how. Important variables can be strictly defined using descriptive research, as opposed to qualitative research where the subjectivity of responses makes it relatively difficult to grasp on the overall picture. The multiple methods available allow online research to be conducted individually as well as based on whatever the end user needs.

The data provided by descriptive research provides a comprehensive understanding of the variable being studied by providing a deeper perspective.

8. How do You Write a Descriptive Research Questions?

Creating a descriptive research question requires six steps: 1. Choose your starting phrase; 2. Identify and name the dependent variable; 3. Identify the group you are interested in; 4. Decide whether the dependent variable or group (s) should be included in the first, last or two parts; 5. Include a word that provides a broader context to your question; 6. Houses, trees, fields—everything was shrouded in thick fog and looked mysterious in the moonlight. The scene was amazing to me. I felt like I was on another planet. I continued to enjoy that heavenly beauty to my heart's content. Our caravan of rickshaws moved slowly along the empty road. The road runs through vast green fields. Due to which road accidents are often happening in that country. A few days ago, I witnessed a heartbreaking road accident in City. I was walking to my shopping mall and there was a middle-aged man crossing the road.

One afternoon I decided to go to a shopping mall with some of my friends. On the way over that time, we are all friends crossing the road. Suddenly I heard the loud noise of a road accident. We saw a woman rolling on the ground on the road. She suddenly fell off a scooter.

The driver was driving the scooter at normal speed. She saw a bus coming from the opposite direction. The scooter was being driven in a hurry. Fear of a collision riding that scooter. She tried to turn the scooter to the other side but his clutch wire broke and the scooter went out of his control. It ran into a pedestrian on the road and turned into a tortoise.

The man was seriously injured. She has injuries on his head and hands. His nose and mouth were bleeding, and his left arm was badly bruised.

The crowd gathered at the scene. The injured person was taken to the nearest hospital by ambulance. Meanwhile, some people started beating scooter riders with sticks. I'm trying to convince them that it's not her fault. It's just a road accident.

Fortunately, the victim has been declared safe. Her body wounds were healed, and she was advised to rest in bed to cope with the shock.

At that moment the police also reached the spot. Scooter riders and bus drivers are being taken to the police station. Police have recorded their statements. The scooter rider was released but the bus driver was detained.

Thank God that the man in the accident did not die.

Long Essay on Road Accident 500 Words in English

Every day in the newspapers or on TV we read and hear about road accidents where people are seriously injured and even die. Hopefully you yourself have had an accident somehow or have seen an accident happen. Many of us may have seen two cars collide or fall into a ditch on the road. Road accidents are not uncommon in big cities where there are thousands of trucks, cars, lorries, vans, motorcycles, auto-rickshaws, buses and other vehicles. Such road accidents are often caused by driver's negligence, disobedience or violation of traffic rules.

There are some reasons to make traffic rules. However, current people do not follow all their rules, especially when they know that the police do not always catch them for breaking the rules. But those who break these traffic rules and flee are lucky because they are not caught, they risk their lives whenever they commit such crime or abuse. The biggest penalty for breaking traffic rules is usually a small fine, but the worst consequences are various injuries to the body, such as paralysis, broken bones, concussions, etc. However, breaking traffic rules and getting into a road accident is the worst consequence of death.

The most common traffic violation or crime that people commit is to jump the red light, which does not mean that they can drive fast despite the red signal. Another bad habit that can cause road accidents is drunk driving. They don’t realize that when the lamp is red for them, it is green for someone else and they put their lives and the lives of others in danger because of this. Too often, drivers take turns on the road without putting up their indicators, which can lead to road accidents. Thus, breaking traffic rules is a crime or harmful, and people should refrain from breaking traffic rules not only out of fear of the police but also because of the risk to their lives.

When I was 14, I was going to the zoo with my dad, and while we were waiting for the lights to turn green at a signal, the traffic started to increase a lot. Suddenly, we realized why it was growing - so many people got out of their cars to see what was happening here. There was a crowd surrounding a man lying on the street next to a fallen scooter, and everyone was trying to help him get up. People rushed him to a local hospital, where he was told to go home with a few stitches on his wound.

Road accidents are very frightening, so we need to be aware and ensure maximum safety while driving. Car passengers should always wear their seat belts, drive only when the signal is green, stick to the speed limit of the car, stay in your lane while driving, wear helmet while riding bike etc. The best way to prevent a road accident is to: Make sure you follow all the traffic rules you need to keep safe. After all, we have a life and it is important to take care of it so that we can enjoy it to the fullest.

Here we have provided a book fair essay and an essay for different classes of students in the book fair. We have many more English essays below for you.

Short Essay On A Book Fair In 100 Words

Book Fair is an occasional fair where a large number of books are sold and displayed. It is growing a popular trend and is being sorted around the world. Most book fairs in Bangladesh, India and Myanmar are organized on International Mother Language Day or Independence Day. This is a very good arrangement for people or book lovers.

You will see many types of books at that fair. I feel very good at the book fair. I visited a fair a few days ago and it was a very enjoyable experience for me.

However, books are our best friend and in doing so we need to read a lot of books in our spare time or regularly.

A Book Fair Paragraph 200 Words (For class 6/7/8)

A book fair is a fair where books are displayed and sold in rows of stalls at a specific location. Book fairs play an essential role in building a creative prejudice-free, open minded conscious nation. People from all walks of life gather at the book fair. Usually this crowd is a bit more in the evening. Some are busy buying books, while others are crowding in various food stalls. But on special days there is no place to set foot in the book fair. Discussions, poetry recitations, music have been organized here to give extra joy and encouragement to the people coming to the fair. The book fair became festive with literary discussions and cultural events. The book is a unique expression of human compassion. But there is no substitute for books in the development of humanity. The book fair is a tasteful program beyond economic considerations. Therefore, the influence of book fairs is immense to inspire people for a better life and humanity.

Long Essay On A Book Fair In 500 Words

Introduction: There are two major book fairs in Bangladesh every year: the Dhaka Book Fair sponsored and arranged by the National Book Center, and the Ekushey Book Fair organized by the Bangla Academy. The first book fair started on January 1, 1996 and the next one started a long time ago. Both the book fairs are famous and have attracted the attention of book lovers all over the country. The Dhaka Book Fair, however, has become internationally known and will probably become very popular in just a few years.

Background: The Dhaka Book Fair, as already mentioned, is organized by the National Book Center. The fair starts on the first day of January every year and usually lasts for fifteen days. The fair, in contrast to the Ekushey Book Fair, encourages book companies or publishers around the world to participate. This new feature of this book fair has undoubtedly made it more rich, beautiful and attractive. However, Ekushey Book Fair was also famous for its long tradition and traditional value.

My visit to the book fair: On January 10, 1996, I went to Dhaka Book Fair with my uncle. As soon as I found my car parking space. Suddenly I could easily see the light in one place, I could hear the humming of many people. I was very excited. I bought tickets for me and my uncle's friends and went to the fair. What a wonderful sight there! Oh, unforgettable and delightful. However, the time was night. The stalls and pavilions were baroquely illuminated and decorated with a variety of designs. At first we visited several stalls. Each stall was rich in different types of books and shelves. We visited some foreign book stalls. The collection and summary of their books fascinated us all. I bought seven or eight fun books from several stalls and pavilions. My uncle's friends also bought their favorite books.

So many stalls! So many books! So many lights and decorations! So many people here! The number of visitors to the fair has proved that the fair has been successful and good. Hundreds of people come to the fair from 10 am to 8:30 pm throughout the day. I have expanded my experience and increased my enjoyment of visiting the fair.

The necessity of the book fair: This kind of book fair is very necessary for the people of our developing country like Bangladesh, I think. We all know that our literacy rate in Bangladesh is about 31 percent, a very small statistic. Again, those who are very educated seldom read books of their choice.

Such book fairs naturally increase the number of readers and book lovers. As the saying goes, a nation that does not read books cannot improve. We need to read more and learn accordingly. We all need to know more than we do. We should know what we know and what we do not know. Knowledge makes us wise enough to be happy in life. And the book fair goes a long way in creating such a consciousness.

Conclusion: A book fair is a wonderful idea of the modern age. Everyone in our country should strengthen the establishment of book fairs more than twice a year. So, we should all buy books and read books.

Air pollution refers to the presence of harmful gases and substances in the air, usually due to emissions from vehicles. Many industrial plants and industries release harmful substances into the air through the air vents of fireplaces. Also, air pollution is caused by field waste and burning of plants/ trees.

Since toxic substances/ pollutants are also produced by vehicles, one of the major concerns is the increasing use of vehicles. Vehicles typically emit sulfur dioxide and carbon monoxide which essentially reduces the presence of oxygen in the atmosphere. Air pollution has caused many human diseases, which are responsible for shortness of breath, asthma, colds and tuberculosis.

Water Pollution

Large factories and industries not only pollute the air but also pollute the water. They discharge residual toxins or residues into sewers through sewers. Sewerage is usually associated with reservoirs such as canals, rivers and seas. Sewage waste and toxic chemicals are destroying marine life habitats. At present, as a result, the dissolved oxygen in the reservoir has also started to be lost.

Water pollution not only destroys marine life, it also causes problems for humans. Many countries are facing shortage of drinking water which is a major effect of some amount of water pollution. People living in such places have no choice but to drink contaminated water. Which leads to various diseases, especially diarrhea, cholera and dysentery.

Water Pollution

Noise Pollution

Noise pollution is another type of pollution that we regularly encounter in one form or another. The main cause of noise pollution is the use of horns in overcrowded vehicles. This can be really problematic for those living in highways and traffic areas. People may feel anxious due to constant noise pollution.

Nevertheless, the sound of loudspeakers in the function, crackers exploding, running machines in factories also play a role in noise pollution. Since the use of fireworks during festivals is very common, it increases noise pollution during festivals like Diwali, Christmas, New Year etc. This is usually a problem for animals because they have more hearing than humans.

Soil Pollution

Soil pollution refers to the presence of toxic substances in the soil that cause pollution. There may be many reasons for soil pollution. However, the biggest reason is the presence of household waste and industrial dumps lying on the ground. Dumps or waste must be properly disposed of or recycled.

Also, farmers use a variety of chemical fertilizers and compounds to fertilize the soil and to grow certain trees or shrubs. However, excessive use of chemical fertilizers and compounds can sometimes contaminate the soil, making it unsuitable for subsequent cultivation or planting. Soil contamination usually produces bacteria and breeds mosquitoes which cause various diseases.

Long Essay on Load Shedding in English

Introduction: Load-shedding is the practice of cutting off power supply for some time as demand exceeds supply. Load-shedding is one of the latest methods used by an electrical manufacturing company to avoid blackouts in the electrical system. This is usually in response to a situation where the power supply capacity of the electricity demand network is at its maximum.

Causes : Load-shedding is usually due to insufficient production capacity or inadequate transmission infrastructure where adequate power can be supplied where it is needed. Load-shedding is a common or daily occurrence in many developing countries where power generation capacity is low or infrastructure is poorly managed.

A problem of developing countries: Load-shedding can be localized to a specific part of the power network or can be more widespread and affect the whole country. Load-shedding is rare in developed states because demand is accurately predicted, adequate infrastructure investment is determined and network is well managed, such incidents are measured as an unacceptable failure of planning and can lead to significant political losses to the government concerned.

Condition in developed countries: In well-operated under-capacity systems, load-shedding is pre-determined and advertised to allow people to operate in their vicinity but in most cases, they occur without warning, usually whenever the transmission frequency falls below the 'safe' limit.

Scheduled or abrupt load-shedding: Due to chronic power shortages, power shortages are common across Pakistan, which adversely affects the country's economic growth prospects. Even in the provincial capital, load shedding is common, especially during the hot season when supply is out of demand. Rural areas are the most affected, it is common for rural households to have access to electricity, losing electricity for more than 12 hours per day.

Load-shedding in Pakistan: This tragic situation has created untold misery for the workers and the manufacturing sector. Even large-scale protests, movements and strikes could do nothing about it.

Conclusion: Electricity is the basic energy that makes a living in many cases. Many amenities of daily life are directly connected with the supply of electricity. Unscheduled load shedding always disrupts the normal pace of life out of proportion. Load-shedding has far-reaching effects on the whole structure of society. The government, while facing a lot of protests across the country, acknowledges that the problem is urgently and permanently to save the nation from economic collapse and irreparable damage.
